For the birds

This is a rather brave moment in my life. I was inside a larakeet aviary at Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo. This little fellow flew straight at me and landed on my head. He was trying to remove my hairclips with his beak. I don't usually like birds. Incidently, the larakeet that landed on my husband's shoulder left a little something to remember himself by if you know what I mean. Glad I was not the recipient of this little gift!
